Teaching Assistant 

Ruishton Primary School, part of The Oak Partnership, seeks to appoint a full time teaching assistant on a permanent basis. 

We seek to employ a member of staff who is flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the school and has patience. The role involves working as a general and 1:1 teaching assistant.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Working 1:1 with pupils with a range of specific SEND need as required; 
  • Implementing adaptations to learning identified by the class teacher and SENDco; 
  • Working closely the class teacher, pastoral assistant and other teaching assistants supporting the pupil.

Experience Desirable:

  • Experience in education
  • Experience Supporting pupils with SEND or SEMH needs 
  • Speech and Language
  • ASD Trained
  • Experience of working with neurodiversity - e.g. ADHD

Hours of work: Full time. Term time only. 30.42 hours a week, 8.45am-3.20pm with half hour unpaid lunch break

Salary: £17, 009 per annum
